Kelly L. Engel is part of the firm’s civil litigation practice group, focusing primarily in areas of personal injury, labor & employment, commercial and public entity liability, subrogation, breach of contract, premises liability, and civil rights. Prior to joining BQB LLP, Ms. Engel specialized in workers’ compensation and longshore/harbor claims, gaining invaluable litigation and mediation experience while advocating for injured workers throughout the state of Louisiana. 

Ms. Engel’s early career includes years of corporate brand marketing and legal work, and even more years of copywriting and editing for various print and digital media spaces. She earned her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Washington in Seattle prior to attending law school at the University of San Diego.
